So...exactly what is the SEO Insider's Club and
why should I join?
At it's most basic level, the SEO Insider's Club is a
pay-per-question membership site. For a monthly fee subscribers get to
submit questions specific to their site(s) and situation to an SEO
expert with almost a decade of experience.
Why should I join the SEO Insider's Club?
Ahh...the perfect question. I've been in this business for a looong
time. When I got involved, it was virtually impossible to find decent
information on SEO online. Times have changed and SEO is a bit more
mainstream and you CAN find information online, but there are still a
number of issues.
Accuracy of the info - How accurate is the info? I
have run into a LOT of "experts" that spout off information
that is flat out wrong. Most of these people have simply read
something somewhere online and took it as the truth and began teaching
it to others.
How recent is the information? The search engines are
a moving target. What worked a year or two ago could easily do more
harm than anything else today. As I've said, I've been in this
business a while and I still see some sites on SEO out there that
haven't been updated in 3-4 years!
Ability to get information specific to your situation.
Here's a biggie. There are a number of places online that you can get
some information, but the VAST majority of the quality sites don't
give specifics. They will give general guidelines and information, but
they won't look at your site and give you specific information.
You don't know what you don't know. Here's
another biggie and one of the BIGGEST reasons I decided to do this. I
can give lot's of information. In fact for a number of years I sold an
ebook that I personally wrote on SEO and sent out a monthly
newsletter. Here's what I found out. Not everyone is going to
"get it" from reading a book. They need some form of
interaction and they often don't initially know enough to ask the
right questions.
It was very common when a subscriber of mine would send me an email
with a question that I would do a quick check of their site online to
find that the answer to the original question was of FAR less
importance than other things I found on their site. Without me
having looked into the specifics they would never have known because
they didn't know enough to ask about it.
I know when I was starting out, there were LOTS of times I would
have given almost anything to have someone I could have just asked a
quick specific question to. How many times have you thought that?
Is there a limit on the number of questions I
can ask per month?
Yes. Because I don't give simple one sentence answers, but instead
prefer to be as thorough as possible in all my answers, I have
to limit the number of questions asked per month due to time
constaints. At least for now,
this is how it will work. With the basic membership you will get 3
questions per month. With the gold membership you will get 7 questions
per month. Not bad to
have access to a decades worth of knowledge and experience!
Questions are handled by a ticket system. You are allowed to submit
one (1) question per ticket. If more than one question is included in
a ticket, I will answer the first one and request an additional ticket
be opened for each question.
When you are logged-in to the ticket system, you will see the
remaining ticket submissions you have available for that month. When
you have submitted all of your allowed questions for the month, the
system will not allow you to submit any further tickets until the
following month. Replies to existing tickets do not count towards your
ticket count.
Are there any limitations on what I can ask?
Yes. Obviously questions such as "what can I do to make my site
rank better" are too vague/general to be answered. These types of
questions/needs require more of an actual consultation. Questions need
to be as specific as possible.
If a question is too general, I will still do my best to give you
an answer, but will likely also try and help you to narrow your
questions down.
How long does it generally take to get a response?
During the week, I will do my best to answer all questions within
24 hours. If you submit your questions over the weekend, it may be
Monday before I'm able to get an answer back to you.
I've hit my limit on questions for the month can I upgrade to a higher
membership?
If you are on the bronze membership level and would like to upgrade to
the Gold level, yes, I can do that for you with no problems. If you
are already a gold level member, that is the highest level
membership I currently have, although I may be willing to work
something out with specific members based on their needs.. Simply, head to the support
area and submit a ticket via the support system (*note
this requires a different login than the membership area as they are
separate) and let me know what you are wanting.
If I don't use all my questions for the month, do they roll over to the next
month?
No. Unused questions do not carry over. The monthly fee is basically a
retainer. My normal fee for an hour of my time is $750. The only
reason I am able to offer the subscription at the price I do is that I
know not everyone will use all of their questions every month. By
paying the monthly fee, you are guaranteeing access to me when you do
come upon questions you need answered.
